ALL funds go towards the LiCF 2023 missions’ trip to Honduras!
This will replace the regular youth group and Jr. High on Wednesday, May 10. ALL Wednesday evening services will be canceled this night to allow families to attend together!
Feed My Starving Children
It's that time of year again! Last year we were able to take a small group of volunteers to help FMSC. Feed My Starving Children is an organization that provides food for God's starving children hungry in body and spirit. We spend the time hand-packing meals called "MannaPacks," praying over the packs before they are sent out and just having a good time! It's loads of fun and a tangible way to be a part of something bigger!
This is a whole family opportunity, ages 5+. We have reserved spots for 25 volunteers. We would love to have every spot filled.
-For safety reasons, children under the age of 5 are not allowed in our packing area (sorry, no exceptions)
-Grades K-2: 1 student to 1 adult
-Grades 3-6: 3 students to 1 adult
-Grades 7-12: 4 students to 1 adult
Youth Ice Skating
The youth are going ice skating at Twin Ponds ice arena. We will meet at church at 1:15 or stick around after church and bring lunch. Ice skating from 2:00-3:00 PM, and arrive back at church by 3:45. Cost is $15/person.
Guppy Gulch Memorization Challenge
Each summer we challenge our youth to memorize a portion of scripture and reward them with a trip or outing of some sort at the end of summer.
Youth (ages 14+) - John chapter 15:1-17
Jr. High (ages 11-14) - Philippians 2:1-11
The plan is to meet at the church at 8 AM. We will provide lunch and dinner for the day and plan to return to the church by evening. The exact time is to be determined.
Guppy Gulch is a former slate quarry, the 15-acre freshwater reservoir boasts inflatable slides, climbing walls, a zipline, a rodeo pier, bumper boats, kayaks, paddleboards, and jungle gyms for kids and adults alike on which to challenge and enjoy themselves.
Missions Trip
We are excited to have a missions trip with the youth in Allison Hill, in Harrisburg PA. We are working with Love the Hill to provide food, lodging and task management. The remaining $300 may be paid to Stacy Foust before the trip.
Youth Mission Trip Fundraiser
We are having a movie night to raise money for our missions trip.
Childrens movie (ages 4-10) - The Defense of New Haven | A Little Crew Studio Film
Youth movie (ages 11+) - Greater
Tickets are $3 for kids movie, $6 for youth. Please bring extra money for concessions and invite your friends!
We will also take donations of baked goods to sell at the movie night! Please bring donations right at 6:30.
Missions Meeting
We will be having a meeting directly after church about our missions trip to Harrisburg.
Junior Youth Group
We are starting a new junior youth for ages 10-13. Led by Bria McKinzie
Ice Skating
As we transition discussion topics, we invite you for an ice skating trip to Twin Ponds Skating Rink. We will meet at LiCF at 1:00 to carpool and return to the church by 5:00. Tickets are $7.00/Person.
Winter Family Night
Many of you know we are trying to put together an outreach program this winter, well the plan has come together! We are hosting a Family Movie Night with cookies, hot coco and games
Group Christmas Movie
The Chosen Christmas Special is being showed at Camp Hill AMC Theaters at 4:15 and 7:00. Tickets are $12.50 each. Contact us below if you are interested.
National Collection Week
Now that the shoeboxes packed for Operation Christmas Child are ready to go, there is a volunteer opportunity in Baltimore to help sort and repack each box! Volunteers must be 14 or older, with one adult for every four youth. Contact us below if you are interested.
Fall Fire
Join us at the Emrich’s home for a campfire s’mores and hayrides. Bring a dish to share.
Membership Sunday
Note: Directly after the service will be a meeting for those interested in becoming a member on October 10.
We will receive new members and have a potluck at the church directly following the service.
